Extra Curricular

At Co-op Academy Grove, everyone has a voice, thanks to our School Council.

At Co-op Academy Grove, our valuable School Council is made up of a diverse group of representatives (one from each of our classes) who are elected by their peers in order to play a main role in sharing pupil voice to improve all aspects.

What We Do

Our School Council attend regular meetings with the School Council leader and often are provided with opportunities to meet with senior leaders in order to share and develop their proposals. Our School Council are responsible for listening to, and sharing the ideas of the school. After each meeting, they also report back to their class as well as collecting suggestions for new initiatives.

Make A Difference

At Co-op Academy Grove, we don’t just talk, we make a difference.

In the last year, our School Council have made the following differences:

  • We improved our lunch time zones and with a budget, chose, purchased and organised new equipment for our school.
  • We became Bullying Ambassadors who make sure that no one is alone.
  • We attend regular meetings and speak to our classes for suggestions.
  • We created an ‘Ideas Board’ where children can add their suggestions for discussion.
  • We created our Fabulous Fridays! These include non-uniform plus Karaoke and FIFA zones for Friday lunch.
