Y5 Orienteering
Orienteering
YR5 pupils took part in the Orienteering competition at Blyth Bridge HIgh School on the 18th March.
Children had to move around the school site looking for numbered stations provided by the map.
Children first had to find the quickest route to get all the stations complete in the fastest time, once complete they had to redo the map but in numerical order.
Children absolutely loved the space available and the freedom they had to complete the challenge as a team, they loved the weather on the day and loved how the marking system worked by having a finger sensor that they tag at each station.
They all tried their best and never gave up running around the stations and at times coming back for water breaks. Unfortunately we did not win but the children said they had the best experience ever.
