Year 4 have had the honour to hold this special day which began with Year 4 performing a warm Remembrance assembly for parents and carers on Monday 11th November 2024.  4EP did a fantastic job in telling us about our honoured local war heroes, whilst 4BG taught everyone why we wear poppies and the meaning of the pittance of time.  4KE performed a poetry recital with some creative actions, representing ‘Flanders Fields’ and finally, 4JM  performed some amazing poetry reminding us of why we wear our poppies and what Remembrance is to us as children. It was lovely to follow our long standing tradition of the whole school coming together on Grove’s school playground to commemorate the soldiers who fought for our country whilst parents joined us. This was followed by an act of Remembrance.  The children around the school made their own poppies to help them reflect.
